Investment Committee

The 10+ members of the Wednesday Forum and the UPM investment committee meet monthly to discuss views of global economies and how they might impact the asset classes. This feeds into any tactical asset allocation adjustments to tilt the neutral positions in order to reduce risk. The key members of the committee are:

Ian Hart has been working in the City since 1983. He has worked on the sell side as well as the buy side. He founded Unbiased Financial Analysis in 2003 providing investment services to retail clients and other IFAs. Ian started his career as a Chartered Electrical Engineer before entering into the City. He was a Stock Exchange Registered Representative, holds the IMC and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Glyn Williams has been in the investment industry for over 30 years and has been interviewing fund managers, analysing products and portfolios for most of that time. He has developed many innovative solutions and has written articles for the Investors Chronicle. Glyn holds the IMC and is a member of the CFA Society of the UK.

Peter Cotgrove is a Chartered Accountant who has considerable experience working within the financial services industry. He studied economics, has held executive positions within the institutional broking, fund management and commodity sectors. Since 2005 he has been directly involved in managing private-client portfolios. He takes a longer-term approach to investing in order to minimise the need to make significant changes to holdings within portfolios.

Adam Parkin has a MPhil in Economics from University of Oxford (Worcester College). He specialises in fund management; previously running Award winning funds. Adam has worked at Director level for both Integra and Amex Bank Asset Management and has over 40 years’ experience in the financial industry.

Stan Kirk has over 40 years’ experience in the investment industry. Stan is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and for the last 15 years Stan has been a Financial Services consultant for product development to many large organisations.
